Trade Like a Pro Using Candlesticks*

Steve Chappell, Jerry D'Ambrosio,

To trade like a pro, you need to think like a pro. In this all-new VectorVest course, Steve Chappell and Jerry D'Ambrosio will demonstrate the art of pairing candlesticks and other technical indicators. Like pairing a fine wine with food, you can't just take any wine and pair it with any meal. The same applies with trading.
This course will focus on some of the most reliable candlestick patterns and technical indicators that the pros utilize today. Proven techniques and step-by-step instruction make this course a must-attend event for every trader wanting professional level results in a fraction of the time.
While single candlesticks convey valuable information about the changes in a market's supply and demand balance, a succession of candlesticks taken together, is more pertinent as they form a pattern. These patterns become super charged when we pair them with technical indicators that compliment and confirm the candlesticks themselves.
Steve and Jerry will teach you how to prepare, plan, and think just like the pros do. You will learn how to master the extraordinary techniques developed by legendary traders along with how to balance and manage your trades for the best possible risk/reward scenarios.
Achieve the kind of success only possible by enhancing expert techniques with VectorVest's exclusive searches, ranking, and market-timing analysis.

How to Increase Options Profitability by Interpreting HFT Orders

Fausto Pugliese

Most trading instructors teach the same tired, old trading tools: chart patterns and technical indicators. Unfortunately, the high frequency trading era has diminished the usefulness of these tools because many of these techniques are already factored into algorithmic trading models. Fausto Pugliese's trading model is different because it looks directly at supply and demand conditions in the market and allows traders to actually spot powerful upcoming moves by trading with the "smart money" players such as market makers and hedge funds. By applying simple methods to tools such as Level II, TotalView, and time and sales, Fausto will demonstrate how he consistently profits in the market each day.

The risks and benefits of trading options vs. stocks
One "must-have" component of every options trade
The psychology of trading in today's market.

An option is a contract to buy or sell a specific financial product at a certain price on a certain date. It is possible to lose all of your investment if the underlying market moves against your position. Options trading is not suitable for all investors.

Traders should consult a tax adviser about any potential tax consequences of their trades. Your account to trade options will be considered and approved or disapproved based on all relevant factors, including your trading experience. Automated trading, as it relates to direct-access electronic order placement and execution of equity options trades, requires manual one-click verification before an order is sent. Each leg of a multi-leg spread incurs a commission and bid/ask cost that can be significant. A monthly account service fee of $99.95 may apply. A $14.95 fee applies for options exercise or assignments at expiration. For early options exercises or assignments, a $1.50 per contract fee will apply, with a $5.95 minimum. There is an Options Regulatory Fee of $0.0407 per contract ($0.05 minimum) applicable to all options transactions. A $1 cancellation fee may apply. These costs will affect the profitability of all stock and options trades and should be considered prior to making any trade. How to Trade Better in 2017*

Alexander Elder

With the new year ahead of us, it is time to upgrade your trading. Learn how to perform at your full potential and take more profits than losses from the markets. Treat yourself to a first-class workshop by a professional trader and one of the world's top teachers of trading, Dr. Alexander Elder. In this four-hour Master Class, he will address several key topics:

Psychology: discipline is the essential factor in your success or failure. Discover the best tool for developing discipline.

Technical analysis: your charts reflect mass behavior. Learn to select a small number of indicators to track crowd behavior, follow trends, and anticipate reversals.

Two trading systems: one for trading trends, the other for trend reversals. You will learn both, and your choice will depend on two factors: the current phase of the market and your personal style. It's psychology again: some people's minds are better suited for trading trends while others prefer trading reversals. Dr. Elder will show you examples of both.

Risk control: how to manage risk for survival and success-in every single trade and in your account as a whole.

This class will focus on decision-making in the current markets. Rather than using PowerPoints that show the past, Dr. Elder will use trading software and current data to illustrate all key points.

A Short-Term and Ultra-Aggressive Way to Trade Currency ETF Weekly Options

Matt Choi, CMT

There is no doubt that FX is one of the most explosive markets for traders. An unexpected YES to BREXIT brought the British Pound to its knees, while a surprise announcement by the BOJ to hold off on QE1000 skyrocketed the Yen. Trading the spot FX market is one option, but it is risky for retail traders when you have shady brokers taking the other side of the trade and stops that don't get triggered.
Fortunately, there are alternatives to trading spot FX. In this highly-anticipated presentation, Matt Choi shares with you one of his more aggressive strategies that he uses to consistently profit from trading currency ETF options. He will show you how to spot 'volatility expansion' setups, and how to use 'cheap gamma' to take advantage of such opportunities with limited risk. The best part is it is very easy to spot these high probability setups, so even part-time traders can apply this strategy to their trading.
If making more money trading options and working less hours is what you want, then Matt's presentation is a must-see.

Some Real Talk About Volatility

Lawrence McMillan

You can't trade $VIX (the CBOE's volatility index) itself, but there are many ways you can use volatility derivatives (both futures and options) to hedge your portfolio, speculate or help predict market direction. We'll look at all of those and illustrate some extremely important points:
Learning Points:
Why the Big (Volatility) Short is a favorite hedge fund strategy
Why "TV analysts" keep saying "buy protection" when all that does is lose money
Why buying the volatility ETFs (VXX, etc.) could be disastrous to your wealth.

Real Market Timing: The Key to Trading Like a Bank and Institution

Sam Seiden

Sam Seiden has traded for many years and has mastered the understanding of institutional order flow during his time on the trading floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. This allowed him to perfect the skill of real market timing, the ability to predict market turns and market moves, in advance, with a very high degree of accuracy. It's no secret that banks and Institutions are extremely profitable in both short-term and long-term trading. On the other side, retail traders produce either minimal profits or lose. During this session, Sam will begin to train you to stop thinking and trading like a retail trader and start thinking and trading like a successful financial institution. This means training your eye to identify where banks and institutions are buying (demand) and selling (supply) in any and all markets and time frames so you can buy and sell there too. Identifying where the market's real demand and supply is on a price chart is the key to proper market timing. Sam will share some of his rule-based market-timing strategy that will help you achieve this key skill, which is a must for attaining short-term income and long-term wealth from the financial markets. Attendees to Sam's session that qualify will also be given a free half-day course beyond the Expo.

Alan Ellman

Covered-call writing is a low-risk option selling strategy that involves buying stocks or ETFs, then selling call options to generate monthly cash flow. A related strategy is portfolio overwriting where we have a long-term buy-and-hold portfolio, frequently of low-cost basis securities many of which generate dividends. Portfolio overwriters want to retain these shares to avoid potential tax consequences and to keep the dividend flow uninterrupted while at the same time increasing their annualized returns. This presentation will show you how to increase your portfolio annualized returns by 6% while reducing the chance of option exercise to almost.

What the Arc Principle Reveals About Elliott Wave Theory and the Methods of WD Gann

J. Andrew Goodman

In this presentation, J. Andrew Goodman will introduce the Arc Principle, a new trading and forecasting method. Through the lens of this new discovery, it will be shown that, as great as they were, Gann and Elliott were wrong in certain important respects:
1.A basic tenet of Elliott Wave Theory is that the cause of market movements is "mass psychology." In contrast, Gann held that the cause of market movements is "mathematical points of force." One of these market masters got it wrong.
2.It has long been believed that the trading methods of WD Gann have nothing to do with the Fibonacci ratio. This is incorrect. There is a hidden relationship between Gann's methods and the Fibonacci ratio, expressed through circular geometry. Gann wasn't aware of this.
3.Elliott believed that the Fibonacci ratio is of secondary importance to the wave count and has relevance only between subwaves of a given wave sequence. This is wrong. The Arc Principle, in which the Fibonacci ratio is implicit, confirms completed Wave counts by referencing major turning points outside the current wave count.
4.Gann predicted the 1929 crash using the Master Time Factor. Applying this methodology, his students would have failed to predict the 1987 crash by 2 years. Here is what was missed.

Trading Big Moves with Options

Matt Choi, CMT

So, you think Apple stock will be a lot lower a year from now? Or perhaps you think Netflix will continue to rip higher over the next 12 months? How about Amazon and Google both reaching $1000 a share by 2018? And if you are a believer in battery technology, will Tesla stock double by the end of the year?

Let's face it, all these stocks will move significantly up or down over the next 12 months. While buying LEAPS, options seems like a good strategy to bet on directional moves, their premiums are very expensive and are vulnerable to Delta, Theta, and Vega risks. 80% of LEAPS buyers lose money.

In this presentation, Matt Choi will show you a "hedged" options strategy that he uses to profit from big moves in stocks. The strategy plays both sides and is exactly how professional traders make money with options regardless of whether the stock moves up or down.

If you want to make money trading big moves with options, then this is one presentation that you can't miss!
